Sentinel Mara Safari Camp

This camp is a small owner run camp with an emphasis on intimate personalized experiences for the guests as well as attention to detail.

The camp is owned by Peter and Wendy Twycross who work alongside competent staff who impress guests with their attentive service and friendliness.

Sentinel Mara Safari Camp is situated in a prime area of Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve on the banks of Mara River hence ensuring that guests derive maximum pleasure from their natural surroundings and the abundance of wildlife.

The Musiara Marsh area renowned for its outstanding game viewing is where both the BBC “Big Cat Diaries” and Disney’s “African Cats” were filmed.

At the camp, guests are assured of an excellent game viewing experience and during the annual great migration of Wildebeests (July to October), various crossing points are easily accessible from Sentinel.

The camp itself is situated along the Mara River with wonderful bird life and the private and natural setting ensures that guests have a most enjoyable and authentic experience of the bush.  Being on high banks above the Mara River means that there are always hippos and crocodiles in the river below to be seen with other animals coming to drink or cross the river at times, especially during the annual great migration.

The camp boosts spacious tents with en suite porcelain toilets and hot showers which are tucked away in the forest.  Each tent along the river is tastefully furnished with campaign furniture to capture the romance and adventure of a bygone era. WIFI as well as charging facilities are available in the lounge tents.
