Sasaab Lodge

Sasaab lodge is set close to the Buffalo Springs and Samburu National Reserves in the Northern Frontier District of Kenya.

Sasaab is a stunning blend of Moroccan and Swahili style nestled in the heart of the African bush. All individual cottages are designed to provide magnificent views of the landscape and offer a cooling retreat from the African heat.

All the rooms are air-conditioned and fitted with four poster beds, enormous, open-air bathrooms and private plunge pools thus making for a completely invigorating experience.

The property also boosts a main swimming pool set on the hillside offering spectacular views over the Ng’iro River.

Sasaab comprises of a family suite conveniently furnished and well equipped for families and the suite has a shared central area and can be taken as an exclusive villa with separate access.

Extra beds can also be added, subject to availability. The facility is a place of rich natural diversity with an astounding number of wildlife such as; African elephants, African lions, leopards and cheetahs plus the ‘Samburu Special Five’ which include; the Beisa Oryx, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, Gerenuk antelopes and the Somali ostriches.

Sasaab prides itself on its hospitality plus the friendly and attentive staff to make all guests’ experience so memorable. The architecture of the lodge follows strong Moroccan design principles in which African heat is of primary consideration.

The property boosts nine (9) Moroccan-styled rooms and each is over 100m² with an enormous open-air bathroom and private plunge pool.

From the veranda, guests can take in the remarkable views across the Laikipia Plateau towards the snow-capped Mountain Kenya (Africa’s second highest mountain).

Spa Sasaab offers world-class beauty treatments well as the free WIFI connects all guests to internet. Other amenities include; restaurant, bar, main swimming pool, and laundry services among others.
