Saruni Maara

This facility is the only small-boutique lodge in the Mara with five elegant cottages, one family villa and one private villa hence offering accommodation to 14 guests at a time.

All of the cottages have a different theme and are individually furnished and decorated. It is tucked in a secluded valley in the heart of the most exciting wilderness in Africa Masai Mara reserve.

Masai warriors guide you throughout while sharing their ancient wisdom of the area and animals and their fascinating way of life.

The camp is located in a private conservation area known as; the Mara North Conservancy, outside the Masai Mara National Reserve, which is Africa’s most famous national park renowned for hosting the great annual migration of many wildlife and for protecting all Africa’s ‘’big five’’ which include; lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and the cape buffaloes.

The Mara North Conservancy is a beautiful private wilderness area of more than 30,000 hectares which forms the north-western zone and borders the Masai Mara National Reserve in the south of Kenya.

The Masai Mara is famous for its unique concentration of wildlife, birds, rich vegetation and open savannah all which the guests will enjoy viewing during their visit at the camp.

It boosts various unique features including; canvas fronts which can be opened to offer guests an amazing ‘’shower with a view’’ and large verandas overlooking a nearby watering hole.

It also offers a private a spa treatment centre, and the guests are also offered professional massages.

A unique feature of Saruni Mara is its collection of books and its library, the most beautiful in the African bush. With thousands of rare books and its very private location, the facility’s library is an ideal place to relax.

The facility runs the Masai wellbeing space and it is a unique feature in the Maasai Mara. The Saruni Mara is situated in the most serene and relaxing environment where guests enjoy massage and wellness treatments under the supervision of highly trained staff well as the Saruni Duka (shop) sells lots of Maasai handicrafts and WIFI is also available at the property allowing guests to access internet.
