Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is tucked in the Northern parts of Kenyan semi-arid area just few kilometers east of Samburu national reserve and in the heart of the Shaba Game Reserve.
The lodge is 314 kilometers from Nairobi, a 45 minute flight from Nairobi to Shaba or Samburu airstrip or a picturesque 5 hour drive through the curving roads around Mountain Kenya, (Africa’s second highest), crossing the equator at Nanyuki.
It is set along the bank of the Ewaso Ng’iro River laid out around the natural springs that flow into the river. The Lodge has a virtual mini forest of indigenous trees, a fish pond and a large free form swimming pool.
This luxurious lodge boosts 85 modern rooms in chalet style with private views of the wildlife-rich banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. All the rooms have clear views of the river where the elephants sometimes make an appearance or the crocodiles come out to lounge by the river’s banks.
All chalet style rooms and suites at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge have private balconies with close views of the river and game park, en-suite bathrooms with permanent showers, running hot and cold water, razor outlets with 220 and 240 volts, beds with mosquito nets and duvets, overhead fans, tea and coffee making facilities among other facilities.
Guests at the lodge can also relax and unwind as they enjoy a great massage at the Tulia mini spa while listening to the trickling natural streams and the wild sounds of the African jungle.
“Tulia” is a Swahili word meaning relaxation. Alternatively, get Sarova Shaba Game Lodge offers a variety of therapies including; Swedish, Holistic, Aromatherapy, Indian, amongst others.
The lodge offers a conference facility that can accommodate approximately 100 delegates for a unique conference with a difference deep in the African bush.
The Doum Room is designed with open French windows overlooking the fish pond and veranda. Audiovisual equipment and secretarial assistance is available.
