It is tucked on a private concession bordering the epic Masai Mara reserve of which during the magnificent annual Wildebeest Migration (In July to October), the action happens on the camp’s doorstep.
Sanctuary Olonana is an exceptional luxury safari lodge situated on the private stretch of Mara River, where a variety of animals invade during the annual migration thus offering spectacular views to the migrating animals such as; Wildebeests, Zebras, Thomson’s gazelles, Topis, Elands, and the permanent residents in the River such as; the Nile crocodiles and Hippos.
The camp is a gold eco-rated by ecotourism Kenya and winner of ‘’Africa’s leading eco-lodge’’ in world travel awards 2015 and the Trip-Advisor baptized the camp with a certificate of excellence hall of fame which is only granted to those businesses that have won the certificate of excellence for five years in a row.
The property features 14 glass-sided suites and it is inspired by the Masai Mara’s breath-taking natural wonders, an abundance of wildlife, and a dramatic Mara River which runs right past its forest setting.
Activities offered at the camp include; sundowners, bush dinners, balloon safaris with aerial views of the Mara plains, game drives, and cultural encounters/visits among others thus making the property a fabulous African safari.
