Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp

This is a lush oasis on the banks of the great Ewaso Ng’iro River in Samburu National Reserve offering 28 modern and newly refurbished tents with a private view over the wildlife-rich banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River.

All the tents sit on a raised deck overlooking the brown river where the elephants sometimes make an appearance or the crocodiles come out to lounge by the river’s banks.

The tented luxury camp is a delight to be in because it is deliciously cooled by the river breeze and the forest.

The camp is renowned as a pioneer of luxury camping in one of the world’s last truly great wilderness areas and guests can view this dramatic wilderness from many fascinating perspectives.

The main dining room opens onto an outdoor dining terrace where buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners are served overlooking the river, however, meals can also be enjoyed on the guests’ private verandah or at one of the specially selected bush sites close to the camp.

Buffet lunches and candlelight dinners are served on an elevated deck amidst the high shade trees. Overall facilities at the camp include; dining areas overlooking the river, lounge and bar, freeform swimming pool and sunbathing garden, WIFI, small conference room with television/VCR facilities, boutique with souvenirs and safari essentials, telephone, e-mail, fax and postal services and professional health and beauty treatments (Spa) among others.
